Royal Ascot Gold Cup – Day 3 – Race Trends, Stats, Tips & Lays

Well our fabulous start to Royal Ascot continued on Day 2 for all of my Racing Profits Email Service subscribers with our first selection Tiggy Wiggy each way in the Queen Mary just missing out in 2nd oyal Ascot Gold Cup from RacingProfits.netat 13/2 and The Fugue winning the Prince of Wales’s Stakes in a course record time beatin ghte short priced favorite Treve, put up at 9/1 in the morning email. So on to Day 3 and some very interesting Group races ahead of us including the highlight of the week the Royal Ascot Gold Cup.

Here are the trends for the four big races for today, the third day of Royal Ascot:

2:30 – Norfolk Stakes – Group 2 – 5f – 2yo only

Here are the top race trends and statistics for the Norfolk Stakes from the past 12 years.

11/11 – Previous winners over 5f
11/11 – Had a RPR of 106+
11/11 – Had at least 1 previous run
10/11 – Won their previous race
10/11 – Had never raced at Ascot before
9/11 – Foaled in March or April
8/11 – Favourites placed
8/11 – Returned 6/1 or shorter in the betting
3/11 – Winning favourites
3/11 – Ran at Windsor last time out
3/11 – Returned a double-figure price

A sprint for 2yo’s The Norfolk is definitely a race to focus on the top 3 / 4 in the market, although only 3 out of the last 11 races were won by the favourite. The average winning SP in the last 10 years is 5/1.

3:05 – Tercentenary Stakes – Group 3 – 1m 2f – 3yo only

Here are the Tercentenary Stakes statistics for the past 12 years.

10/11 – Had at least 2 previous runs that season
10/11 – Had not raced at Ascot before
