I hope you all enjoyed the Video, I posted during the week, on how to narrow down the field in today’s race. If you have not watched it yet, I have posted it here:

I have run through the entire field for today’s race and narrowed it down to five main contenders for the race.

Chicago Grey – 12/1 – Qualifies for all my main criteria I look for in a horse, has plenty of experience, won nicely at Navan in February and is 9lb lower than when running here last year, when he was unlucky to be brought down when going well. He could well be the first Grey to win since 1961.

Balthazar King – 20/1 – Another who passes all of my criteria for the race with flying colours, he has loads of experience, loads of stamina and is a fantastic jumper. The further plus for him is he is a front runner, so he will probably trade short in running and stay well clear of any fallers who could take him down.

Roberto Goldback – 25/1 – Passes 9 of my 10 criteria, only failing on the carrying of 11st 6lb today – however with the changes to the course and the going I do not feel the weight is going to be as big a part. Certainly over the last few years Don’t Push It won off 11st 5lbs in 2011 and last year Neptune Collonges carried 11st 6lb to victory – so the old rule of horses above 11st 1lb not winning has been broken recently.

On His Own – 12/1 – Has all the credentials to win this and is another who proved himself last year before coming down at Becher’s on the 2nd circuit, he looked to be going as well as any before then. Only had the one run this season, winning a hurdle at Navan in February, as the yard have targeted this race today with him. He has only had 7 races over fences rather than the 10 I like to see for experience but it is hard not to be impressed with everything else.

Colbert Station – 12/1 – Is the choice of AP McCoy over last year’s runner-up who we backed, SunnyHillBoy. He has only had 5 runs over fences in his career but his win of the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown in December was very impressive and he has followed up with a win over hurdles at Punchestown in February. AP McCoy rode him both times and he is clearly impressed with what he has seen. My main concern here is that he makes it round, as he does not have the chasing experience.

Of the others Seabass did well last year, but is carrying 11st 6lb today, compared to 10st 11lb last year and has not won this season yet, finishing 2nd and 3rd at Fairyhouse, so I could not get involved. I love Teaforthree and would love to see him do well, as we have backed him a few times in the past, but again the form running up to the race and his weight are against him.

There are a number of question marks over some of the other top market contenders, but as always your opinion is what matters and this shortlist narrows down the field for you to dig into the horses left and make your selction – so enjoy your day today and I hope this has helped you.

I thought I would post up this video which I prepared for the 2010 Grand National.

I used the statistics and trends I share in the video to narrow the field down to include Don’t Push it and Black Apalachi , State of Play and Big Fella Thanks – the top 4 in the race that year.

We used it again in 2011 to help us find Ballabriggs, Oscar Time, State of Play and The Midnight Club.

Then last year we used the same techniques to find Sunnyhill Boy which we backed each way at 20/1 and was grabbed in the final few yards by Neptune Collonges. It also identified Sea Bass and Cappa Bleu for our shortlist – although the winner escaped us for the first ime in 3 years.

Your Video – Picking The Winner of the 2013 Grand National

As you will see I use trends and statistics for the race and share with you my Top 10 tips for narrowing down the field from 40+horses to a more managable shortlist of 6 or 7.

Take the time to use these 10 statistics to narrow down the field and then analyse the form of your remaining shortlist to make your final decision on who to back:

1. Weight – Start with the weights – No winner had carried more than 11st 1lb for 27 years before Don’t Push It in 2011, who carried 11st 5lbs to victory and then last year Neptune Collonges carried 11st 6lb. Also minimum weight – Only 2 horses in the past 20 years have carried the minimum 10st and won. So dismiss all horses over 11st 1lb and carrying the minimum 10st. Still your starting point.

2. Age – The last 22 winners have all been between 8 – 12yrs old. This is the “sweet spot” in a chasers age, they have the maturity and stamina to get round Aintree. Avoid 6 / 7 yr olds pr horses older than 12yrs old.

3. Sex – No mare has won the race since 1951 – avoid mares.

4. Stamina – Must have proven stamina. The past 18 winners have all won a race over 3m or more that season.

5. Experience – Connected to age but the past 22 winners have all run at least 1o times over fences.

6. Greys – Only 2 greys have ever won the National. No Grey since 1961 has won the race.

7. Blinkers – In the past 38 years only 2 horses have won wearing blinkers. So avoid horses with blinkers.

8. Betting Odds – As with any handicap, the market is a key indicator. The most likely price of the winner is between 7/1 – 16/1 – particualrly on Good ground. Only heavy conditions tend to upset this statistic, although Neptune Collonges won at 33/1 last year in 2012 just beating Sunnyhill Boy at 16/1. But 16 winners in the last 22years have been in that price range – so this year it will be more than likely.

9. One Win That Season – Non of the last 22 winners had more than one win that season before going on to win the National.

10. Previous Winner – Only Red Rum has ever won the National again in following years – so it is fairly safe to discount previous winners from your shorlist, that included Ballabriggs last year who was 6th and Don’t Push It the year before who was 3rd.

So if you have been ruthless you should have now narrowed the field down from 40 horses to 6 or 7 main contenders for the race.

The final day is the climax of the week at Prestbury Park and there can be few more emotive days in sport than Cheltenham Gold Cup day. The day starts with the Triumph Hurdle, then the County Hurdle, the Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle and finally the Gold Cup itself. The following video runs through the main statistics for the big three races on the final day.

As you have seen from the previous videos my main angle of attack is to narrow down the field in the big races of the week and the final day is no exception.

The Triumph Hurdle – 2m 1f – 4yo Only

Day 4 of the festival kicks off with the Triumph Hurdle. The main thing to note is that the Triumph hurdle is for 4yr olds only, it used to be a real lottery of a race, but the form has settled down recently and the winner has come from the top 4 in the market over the past 7 years. Countrywide Flame was the exception in 2012 who won at 33/1.

Focus on the top of the market – Top 4 or 5 horses.

Recent Form – 16 of the past 18 winners had won their previous race. Again Countrywide Flame came 3rd in 2012 in his previous run.

Rating – The last 7 winners have all been rated 138+ by the BHA.

Ex-Flat Horses do well in the Triumph Hurdle with the last 14 winners all having had a flat career as opposed to being National Hunt bred horses.

Recently started hurdling – 7 of the past 8 winner did not make their hurdling debut before the December prior to Cheltenham.

Trials Races – The Adonis Hurdle at Kempton at the end of February has thrown up 5 of the last 6 winners of the Triumph Hurdle which is a strong trend – so this should be your starting point.

Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle – 3m – 4yo+

The 3rd race on the card on the last day is the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle over 3m. Similar to the Ryanair CHase it has only been recently added to the festival, when it was extended to a fourth day. However there are some strong trends already emerging for the race:

Cheltenham Form – 6 of the past 7 winners have run at Cheltenham before. 4 of them had won a race at Cheltenham.

Proven Stamina – 5 of the past 7 winners had run in 3m or more races prior to the race.

Age – 7yr+ is a positive – as a horse matures it develops more stamina and this is seen in the results.

Top of Betting – 6 of the past 7 winners have been in the top 5 in the betting.

Recent Winning Form – 7 of the past 8 winners have won ort come 2nd on their previous outing.

All 8 winners in the race so far have been out over hurdles at least 3 times prior to the race.

Trials Races – There are three main trials races which act as good guides to the Albert Bartlett – all are run at Cheltenham – The Hyde Novices Hurdle over 2m 5f in November has thrown up 4 Albert Bartlett Winners in 7 years. In December is the Bristol Novices Hurdle over 3m which has given us 2 winners and 3 placed efforts so far. Finally in January the Classic Novices Hurdle over 2m 4f has thrown up 2 recent winners.

The Cheltenham Gold Cup – 3m 2f – 5yo+

The climax to the entire Festival is undoubtedly the Gold Cup on Friday afternoon. It is the ultimate stamina test and the primary consideration has to be proven ability at the highest level and winning at the highest grade – something all the last 13 winners had including the ill-fated Synchronised from 2012 who had won the Grade 1 Lexus Chase in Ireland as well as the Welsh National at Chepstow. Other important factors to consider are:

Age – No horse older than 10yrs has won the Cheltenham Gold Cup since 1969. Even 10yr olds have only seen 1 winner in the past 18 yrs.

Experience – No Novice Chaser has won the race since 1974 and only 1 winner since 1963 has had less than 6 starts over fences. It is all about proven ability.

Previous Cheltenham Experience – 9 out of the last 11 winners had finished 1st or 2nd in previous festivals.

Top 3 in the betting – Until 2012 the previous 11 winners had come from the Top 3 in the betting.

Rating – 11 of the last 12 winners have had a BHA rating of 166+

Trials Races – The King George VI Chase on Boxing Day at Kempton is the key race – throwing up 9 of the last 12 winners of the Cheltenham Gold Cup. The Betfair Chase at Haydock in November has also thrown up 3 winners and also the previous year’s Gold Cup has thrown up 3 winners.

I hope that helps you to narrow down the fields on the final day of the Festival and find a few winners.

Don’t forget – If you want my own personal Cheltenham races selections for each day of the festival, feel free to join my Email Selection Service here>> Racing Profits Email Selection Service – each day I will be sharing my top 2 / 3 bets of the day for the festival.

Day 3 is the calm before the storm at Cheltenham races, with only the two Grade 1 races to focus on. The key thing to remember about Day 3 is that the races move to the New course. In the following video I take a look at the key trends for the Ryanair Chase and the World Hurdle.

As you can see there are plenty of statistics and trends to help you narrow down the field in these two key races:

Ryanair Chase – 2m 5f

The Ryanair is one of the newer races on the card, only starting in 2004, so the statistical trends are still forming, however there are some trends to focus on:

Previous Cheltenham Form – All 8 winners have run at Cheltenham in a major race and 7 have won at Cheltenham previously too.

No Irish Winner – Of the 8 winners they have all been home trainers and the Irish have yet to win the Ryanair.

Top 3 in the market – The last 7 of 8 winners have been from the top 3 in the market – so this must be your starting point.

Proven Stamina – Even though the race is only 2m 5f you should look for a horse proven over 3m.

158+ Rating – All the winners have been rated 158+

Age – 8 – 10 yr olds have won the last 5 Ryanairs in a row.

Trials Races – Paddypower Gold Cup in November has thrown up 5 of 7 winners. The previous year’s Ryanair Chase has thrown up 3 winners who have returned to win.

The World Hurdle – 3m

The World Hurdle is the big stayers hurdle race of the festival and it has been dominated by Big Bucks over the past few years. He is a french bred and 6 of the las 12 winners have been french bred horses. Here are the other major trends to consider:

Top 4 in the market – last 10 winners have all come from the Top 4 in the market.

Recent Form – All the last 12 winners have finished 1st or 2nd in their previous run.

Cheltenham Form – 16 of the last 18 winners ran the previous year at the festival.

Negative – Champion Hurdle form – No winner has won the Champion Hurdle the previous year since 1992.

No Irish Winner – Again no wins from 17 for the Irish in this race.

Age – Avoid 5yr olds – No 5yr old has won the race since 1972 when it was first run.

Avoid Front Runners – No horse has made it all and won as a fdront runner since 1996.

Trials Races – The main staying hurdles to focus on for form are the Cleeve Hurdle here at Cheltenham in January has thrown up 3 of the last 5 winners. The Long Walk Hurdle at Newbury has thrown up 5 winners in the last 10 years. Also look at the previous years World Hurdle, that has thrown up 5 horses who have returned and won.

I hope that helps you to narrow down the fields on Day 3 and find a few winners. Don’t forget – If you want my own personal Cheltenham races selections for each day of the festival, feel free to join my Email Selection Service here>> Racing Profits Email Selection Service – each day I will be sharing my top 2 / 3 bets of the day for the festival.

In this the third part of my Racing Profits Guide To The Cheltenham Festival we look at the major races on Day 2 of the festival at Cheltenham racecourse.
It is the busiest day of the four for Grade 1 races – the Neptune Investment Novice Hurdle, the RSA Chase, the big race of the day the Queen Mother Champion Chase and to finish the day we have the Champion Bumper.

Remember to view the video full screen to get the most out of it

The main aim of the video is to help you narrow down the fields in each of the races of Day 2. Remember that, as in Day 1, the races are run over the old course at Cheltenham racecourse. If there has been no rain overnight the ground can be drying out by now and getting a little quicker, so your starting point must be to get an accurate picture of the going.

Neptune Investment Novice Hurdle – 2m 5f – 4yo+

The Neptune is the 2nd race on the card on Day 2 and has been won by an Irish trained horse in 4 out of the last 6 years. Willie Mullins focuses on this race and the day as a whole, so his horses should be your starting point. The key stats to look for are:

Previous Race Form – 27 of the last 28 winners have finished either 1st or 2nd in their previous run.

Top 6 in the Market – 24 of the last 26 winners have come from the top 6 in the betting, so focus your attention on here.

Age – Forget 7 yrs or older horses. Only 1 winner since 1974 has won at this age. Focus on the younger horses.

Graded Class Hurdle Form – You are looking for horses that have proven their class. 12 of the last 14 winners have already competed in a Graded hurdle before going to the Neptune.

Ex-Bumper Horses – Have won the past 11 of 13 races – ex-flat horses have only won 2.

Negative is Nicky Henderson – 1 from 24 in this race. Simonsig won in 2012 for him.

Trials Races – the Deloitte Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown and Navan Novices Hurdle.

RSA Chase – 3m

As you would expect in a stayers chase of this nature the RSA is dominated by older horses, big chase races such as this require experience to win.

Older Horses – 10 of the last 12 have been 7 or 8yrs old, with the last 7 winners being 7yr olds – so focus on the 7yr olds in the race. Be aware that no 9 yr old has even placed since 1993.

Previous Race Form – Only one of the last 24 winners failed to finish 1st or 2nd last time out.

Experience – The last 13 winners have had at least 3 runs over fences.

Run This Year – The last 48 Winners have all had a run in that calendar year.

Irish Trained - 3 winners from last 4 have been Irish trained. Bob’s Worth in 2012 was the exception.

Trials Races – Dr P.J Moriarty Novice Chase at Leopardstown is a big clue to the Irish challenge. Reynoldstown Novice Chase at Ascot. Major negative is the Feltham Novices at Kempton on Boxing Day.

Queen Mother Champion Chase – 2m

The showpiece of Day 2 with £180k prize money. Run over 2m on the old course, the same as the Arkle from Day 1. Here are the trends to look for to help you narrow down the filed in the Queen Mother Champion Chase:

Festival Form – 20 of the last 27 winners have won or placed at the festival in previous years – obviously horses who have perfomred well in the Arkle in previous years and are proven around Cheltenham are the key contenders to look out for.

Irish Trained – Again Irish trained horses have won 5 of the last 9 runnings of the Queen Mother Chase.

Market Price – 29 of the last 30 winners have been at 11/1 or less – so focus your attention on the top of the market – usually the top 4 or 5 horses. Indeed 10 of the last 13 were under 5/1.

Age – Only one horse since 1997 has been older than 9 yrs old.

French Bred Chasers – 6 of the last 11 winners have been french bred.

Trials Races – the Tingle Creek in December at Sandown is one of the biggest pointers to the Queen Mother Chase with 8 of the last 11 winners coming out of the race. As we said earlier, look for previous strong runs in the Arkle from the previous year and also the Queen Mother Chase. Also the Tied Cottage Chase in Punchestown.

Champion Bumper

The final race on Wednesday’s card and a great race to analyse, as it can give real clues to the following year’s Cheltenham festival and National Hunt season horses to watch. Here are the trends to consider for the Champion Bumper:

Willie Mullins – Another race which Willie tends to target with strong horses including Champagne Fever in 2012 at 16/1. The Irish had won 14 out of 17 up to 2010.

Previous Race Win – Only 2 of the last 19 winners did not win their previous race to the Champion Bumper and the last 4 out of 5 have been unbeaten.

Top 6 In The Market – 16 of 19 winners have come from the top 6 in the betting, so focus your efforts on the top horses.

Negative – French Breds – Only 1 winner from last 25 has been a french bred horse.

Age – Focus on 5 & 6 yr olds – they are 11 wins from the last 12 races.

Trials Races – Usually most horses coming to the Champion Bumper are very lightly raced, having run 3 or 4 times maximum before.

Big Field Bumpers – Look for horses who have won in large field bumpers 14 or more runners. 16 of the last 19 winners have won a bumper with 14 or more runners previous to going to Cheltenham.

Day 2 is a busy day at Cheltenham racecourse with the four Grade 1 races on offer, so take your time and work your way slowly through each race, narrowing down the field and making yourself a shortlist of the most likely winners.

Don’t forget – If you want my own personal Cheltenham racecourse selections for each day of the festival, feel free to join my Email Selection Service here>> Racing Profits Email Selection Service – each day I will be sharing my top 2 / 3 bets of the day for the festival.

In this the second part of my Guide To The Cheltenham Festival we take a look at the main races on Day 1 of the festival including how to make a shortlist of the most likely contenders in the key Cheltenham races of the day – the Supreme Novices Hurdle, Arkle Chase and the most valuable race on Day 1, the Champion Hurdle.

The main aim of this video is to help you narrow down the fields in the main three races of the day. As we looked at in the first video, the first two days races are run on the old course at Prestbury Park. The course is likely to have been watered if there has been no rain in the week running up to the start of the festival, to produce the required Good / Soft ground conditions. So Day 1 can be the slowest conditions of the week.

Supreme Novices Hurdle – 2m – 4yo+

It is great to start the festival off with a winner, as we did in 2010 when we put up Menorah for the Supreme Novices and he won for us at 12/1. Here is what to consider for your shortlist of horses for the Supreme Novices:

Irish Entries – The Irish have tended to dominate this race winning 8 of the last 13 – so take a close look at the main Irish yards entries for the race.

The big two UK Trainers – Henderson / Nicholls – look for stamina horses that they have put into the race.

Last Time Out Winners – 13 of the last 15 winners of the Supreme have won their previous race.

National Hunt v Ex-Flat Horses – since the watering of the course to ensure that there is Good / Soft ground on Day 1 – this has swung massively in favour of National Hunt bred horses rather than ex-flat horses – so side with them.

Trials Races – Look at who won the previous year’s Champion Bumper, the Deloitte Hurdle and Royal Bond Novice Hurdle

Experience is key – Look for horses with 3 or more runs over hurdles – this accounts for 5 of the last 7 winners.

Recent Run – in the past 20 yrs all the winners except two, have had a run within the previous 45 days.

Arkle Chase – 2m – 5yo+

The first big chase of the Festival and comes straight after the Supreme Novices Hurdle.

Top Rated Hurdler – The major stat is that is has been dominated by top rated hurdlers, with the last 11 winners from 12 having been rated 142 or more over hurdles. This has to be your starting point when narrowing the field down.

Oppose Favourites – Only 2 favourites have won the race in the past 20 years.

Odds of less than 11/1 – Only 1 winner in the past 20 years has been at odds greater than 11/1 on the day. So focus on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th favourites.

Last Time Out Run – The selection must have come 1st or 2nd in his previous run.

Age – Oppose young 5yo horses.

Trials Races – Grade 2 November Novices at Cheltenham, Henry VIII Novice Chase at Sandown in December, the Kingmaker Novices Chase at Warwick and the Irish Arkle at Leopardstown.

Champion Hurdle – 2m – 4yo+

The most valuable race of Day 1 with over £200k in prize money. Here is what you should consider to help you narrow down the field:

Won their previous start – One of the strongest trends for any race at Cheltenham is the fact that 24 of the last 28 winners of the Champion Hurdle won their previous race.

Recent Run – They should of run in that calender year.

Previous Cheltenham form – A win or place at Cheltenham already in their career. 17 of the last 26 winners have finished in the top 4 at the previous years festival. Particularly the previous year’s Champion Hurdle. 7 of the past 11 placed the previous year.

Age – Again younger horses 5yo do not tend to do as well – only 1 winner since 1985.

Irish Entries – As with the Supreme Novices – the Irish target this race on Day 1 with 9 Irish winners from the past 14.

Top 6 In The Market – 18 of the last 21 winners have come from the top 6 in the market.

Trials Races – The previous years Champion Hurdle, the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle, 3 of the last 4 winners have competed in this race, the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton, Rabobank Champion Hurdle and Istabraq Hurdle.

Negatives - The Christmas Hurdle at Kempton – only 1 horse from 21 has gone on to win the Champion Hurdle after winning the Christmas Hurdle. Also The International Hurdle at Cheltenham only produced 1 winner in 37 years.

I hope this helps you enjoy Day 1 of the festival and find a few winners. Go through each of the three Grade 1 races and narrow the field down to the main contenders.

If you want my own personal selections for each day of the festival, feel free to join my Email Selection Service here>> Racing Profits Email Selection Service – each day I will be sharing my top 2 / 3 bets of the day for the festival. Last year we had some great winners and finished +26 pts up over the 4 days.

Here is the first part of my Guide To The Cheltenham Festival. In this post we take an overview of the “festival” and the characteristics of the Prestbury Park course.

The Cheltenham Festival is the climax of the National Hunt season and the entire season, from mid-November builds towards the “festival” at Prestbury Park. The course is set in a natural amphitheatre at the foot of Cleeve Hill in the Cotswolds.

Course Characteristics

The course itself consists of two seperate tracks, the “old” course and the “new” course. The old course is used on Day 1 and Day 2 with the new course used for Day 3 and the Gold Cup on Day 4. Both courses are left-handed ovals of around one mile and a half. The hurdles course consists of 7 hurdles per circuit and the chase course of 10 stiff fences. The key characteristic is that both courses are very undulating and testing on horse and jockey, the uphill finish over the last 1/2 mile provides a real spectacle as the horses race for the finish.

Note that it is the policy to have good/soft going on Day 1 and so the course will be watered if needed to ensure that this happens, Day 1 can be the slowest day, unless there is rain around over the festival.

Horses For Courses Type Track

Cheltenham is a real horses for courses track. Previous course form is one of the key pointers as to wether a horse will run well at the course. In fact it is so important that many bettors that I know will disregard recent form in favour of course form, even form from 12 months earlier.

We saw this last year when we backed Son Of Flicka in the Coral Cup at 16/1, he had done nothing since coming 2nd the previous year in the same race on a mark of 140, behind Sir Des Champs. The yard and owner of the horse had made it clear that they would be targetting the race and they shrewdly brought his mark down to 135 for the race and went on to win by a couple of lengths. You need to do your research and track horses to dig out value like this – but it is there and is there every year.

You are looking for horses who can jump well but more importantly have the ability to stay the trip at a strongly run pace, you will not get a breather in these races and any lack of stamina will be found out here.

To find winners here you need to examine the statistics, trends and re-watch the trials races in which the major contenders have run to identify recent form.

Be Selective & Focus your attention on the 12 Grade 1 races and a few of the other races, do not be tempted to try to examine all 27 races over the 4 days.

Let Me Give You My Selections

I also recommend that you look at becoming a member of our Email Selection Service as I share all my selections over the 4 days of Cheltenham and also Aintree in April. So there has never been a better time to join.

Remember you can find all the details about joining the Email Service here >>>> Email Selection Service

Well it has been a busy start to the year and we now approach the busiest period of the National Hunt season with the Cheltenham Festival 2013 only 2 weeks away and then Aintree to follow that in April.

I have been busy tracking horses since October in the build up to the festival this year and have a list of 10 horses already, for the key races over the 4 days at odds up to 28/1. So I fully expect this year to be another profitable year.

Over the next 10 days I will be posting my Free Racing Profits Guide To The Cheltenham Festival, which includes Free Videos to help you make informed selections in the key races over the 4 days. These were very popular last year and lead to some decent priced winners being uncovered – so keep an eye on your email each day and check back here on the blog - make sure you take your time to absorb all the information I send out.

Remember – The Cheltenham Festival 2013 Offers Fantastic Opportunities For Trading

One thing I love about the festival is that it provides superb liquidity on each race and this gives us as traders some fantastic trading opportunities to make guaranteed profit in the pre-race markets on Betfair and Betdaq, which comes into it’s own at major meetings such as this.

If you have not taken the time to get involved with our 6 Week Trading Training then I suggest you head over to my overview of the course here >>> 6 Week Trading Training Course Overview .

N.B. Festival Special Offer – In the run up to the festival I have decided to offer a 50% discount on the 6 Week Trading Training – so you can get the entire course for only £195 instead of £395. However, I will be limiting this to 20 places – as I did in January.

Well we are coming to the end of another profitable month here at Racing Profits. The National Hunt season is now in full swing and we had another nice winner on Monday with Return Spring going in at Ludlow at 7/2 – that is our 3rd Monday winner in a row and starting the week like that takes all the pressure off. We then had De La Bech land the odds at Lingfield, our only bet yesterday at 5/1 and today we have had a fabulous day with a rare trip over to Ireland and Living Next Door landing the odds at Limerick at 6/1, following a great ride by Ruby Walsh. Even my speculative each way bet of the day in Emerald Princess placed at a massive 25/1 at Lingfield.

We are now getting ready for the run up to Xmas and looking forward to some cracking bets in December, including this weekend at Newcastle and the Hennessy at Newbury.

If you would like to get involved then we have a couple of spots left, you can get all the details here>>>>>> Email Selection Service

Look forward to working with you,

Afternoon all,

Well it was great to see the National Hunt season get started in earnest last weekend with some decent quality jumps racing at Cheltenham on Friday and Saturday. October is always a strange month as the flat season winds up and the winter jumps season gets going.

Our National Hunt tips have been in great form throughout the month and Cheltenham was no exception with Sivola De Sivola placing on Friday at 6/1 and then Hunters Lodge winning nicely, advised in the morning at 5/1.

On Saturday the trend continued with Nadiya De la Vega advised at 11/1 in the morning winning her race in fine style under McCoy. We then looked on for a double with Hold On Julio, put up at 6/1 as an each way bet, was well in contention coming to the last but had to settle for 3rd as the 7 month break from the track took its toll.

The National Hunt tips continued to be profitable with Regal One at Plumpton put up at 6/1 on Monday going on to win nicely and then the fantastic result yesterday of our only back bet on the day, Highland Retreat going in at a massive 10/1.

A total of +50pts profit from the past 4 days to give October a huge boost. We have Aintree and Chepstow to look forward to this weekend and plenty of horses being tracked for their reappearance this winter – so plenty to give me confidence that we will go close to last November’s profit of +85pts on the back bets.
