Nice 5/1 Winner today at Nottingham !!

Well September is finishing much as it started for my email selection service – with a nice 5/1 winner today at Nottingham in Earl Of Leitrim – who was on his second outing for Brian Meehan, who’s horses always improve a bundle from their first runs. He showed promise at Foss lass and stepped up again today to win nicely.  So we are on +45 pts profit for September with just tomorrow left.

If you have not got on the October list yet then email me at richard@racingprofits.net – there are a couple of places left.

Irish Racing Selections- Monday 27th September

Rosscommon-4.35- Salesin

A much improved gelding from Nial Maddens yard. Has won his last 3 starts, a maiden hurdle at Cork where he made all to win easily clocking a TS figure of 116 in the process. three consequent winners have came from that race. He then won a 15 runner Novice chase at Wexford by 7 lengths after losing a lot of ground at the start. Again at Cork in August he made light work of his handicap mark of 102, winning by 15 lengths and jumping very welll in the process. Admittedly there are some higher rated horses in the field, but I feel the handicapper hasnt quite got to the bottom of him at this improved stage of his career. Theres no reason why he cant put up a bold show today from the front.

Rosscommon-5.35- Regal d’Estruval

A likeable front running Novice hurdler from Jim Culloty’s yard. He has a great zest for jumping but has been using much of his energy tearing away from his fields and weakening into the top 5. Although, he won his maiden hurdle at the course and distance and has posted some decent times in defeat. B J Cooper claims a handy 5lbs off his back today and I hope he can get him settled out front and give him a breather when he needs it. His principal dangers will need to come from behind to beat him and the rest arent quick enough to give him a battle up front, so theres every chance he’ll make the frame here. The progressive Dark Prospect and The Hamptons are obvious dangers, but alot will depend on how the race is ran and I hope Ive got it right that they could just give Regal d’Estruval an easy lead.

Rosscommon-6.05- Pops Rocket

Start Me Up is 11/10 and rightly so given his campaign last season. He ran in Grade 1 and Grade 2 races over hurdles, looking fairly backward but aquitting himself quite well in the process. A 3 time bumper winner with a whole summer to have filled out into his babyish frame, he looks set to go well here. But at 11/10, we must look elsewhere for value and Pops Rocket fits the bill from those with recent hurdles form. Hes a progressive horse for sure, improving with every run and was unlucky to unseat at the 1st flight last time out. Looked like the winner for much of the race before that over 2m4f at Killarney, only to be collared close home. He clocked at TS of 109 at Wexford before that, coming 3rd behind a decent sort in Page One Two Nine. I expect Pops Rocket to be there at the finish fighting it out and the market price suggests hes a value bet to do so.

Advice:

Salesin- 3pts to win @ 5/1 Paddy Power

Regal d’Estruval- 2pts e/w @ 8/1 Bet365

Pops Rocket- 2pts e/w @ 7/1 Paddy Power

Cheers

Irish Racing Selections- Sunday September 26th

Hi guys,

First of all id like to say that it is a torrid time of year for betting and only the very most disaplined can grind out a marginal profit during code transitions, the Flat-Jumps being harder than vise versa in my opinion with more varying ground conditions and weather than in late spring. The selections havent been running as they should but it will click and the good months are usually November to April for the jumps and from June-August on the flat. Anyway I have four selections to consider today. I always feel theres no point backing into a cub hole and not having any bets on most Irish race days. You have to have full faith in your long term ability to make profits. Im pushed for time today so im going to post the selections and advice with no reasoning. But rest assured, what time I have had this morning has gone into these.

Curragh-2.15- Flic Flac 2pts e/w @ 8/1 Paddy Power

Curragh-3.50- Luisant 2pts e/w @ 3/1 Paddy Power

Clonmel-2.35- Venetian Dove 1pt e/w 25/1 Bet365

Clonmel-3.05- Cyborg 2pts e/w 3/1 Bet365, Mr Dazza 1pt e/w 16/1 Paddy Power

Irish Racing Selections- Saturday 25th September | irish racing tip

Navan-2.25- Drumfire

Classy sort on the flat couldnt have been more promising at Galway during the summer on his first outing over hurdles. Before that he chased home Profound Beauty over 1m6f, who’s is a top class filly and is vying for favouritism for the Melbourne Cup. His hurdles debut race at Galway has produced subsequent winners One Cool Tornedo and Dark Prospect who both look smart but were put to bed easily by Drumfire and the winner Universal Truth. Drumfire clocked a nice TS figure of 98 in the process and an RPR of 128, staying on very well at the finish. Ruby Walsh takes the reigns today and I can see there being a nice pace for Ruby to track and pick up the leaders from there. Theres no reason why he shouldnt have improved since and the soft ground at Navan today is definately going to suit. Looks certain to run a big race.

Navan-3.35- Mr Cracker

Nice Novice hurdler from last season. Ran Grade 1 winner Luska Lad to within 4 lengths back in April at Fairyhouse in a Grade 2 and after that I fancied him to run Arvika Ligeonniere close at Punchestown. It was clear to me after his run in 4th behind Arvika Ligeonniere that he doesnt have the pace for 2 miles and wants a step up in trip. Obviously I wasnt the only one to think so because hes been stepped up to 2m6f today for his seasonal reappearence. He won his maiden hurdle here at Navan over 2m4f on very soft ground so conditions should be ideal today. The favourite Sivota has a chance but at 7/4 is worth taking on. The main danger could be Casey Top, who clocked a nice speed figure last time out and should go well. But hes around 7/2 and I feel at 5/1, Mr Cracker represents the value from the head of the market given the class of horse he’s been affiliated with so far. Its always a leap of faith when trying to second guess a horse’s early season fitness. But if you were to assume every horse making his seasonal debut was unfit at this time of year, you’d never have a bet! So its best to assume fitness unless a poor record of early season race results is evident.

Advice:

Navan-2.25- Drumfire 5 pts to win @ 13/8 with Stan James

Navan-3.35- Mr Cracker 2pts e/w @ 5/1 with Bet365

Good Luck today and tune in tomorrow for Sundays FREE Irish Racing Selections for Racing Profits,

(Psst- who else thinks Hearts of Fire could run well today in the QEII?…you’d never know, he would have nearly won last time he ran at Ascot and theres juice in the ground.)

Irish Racing Selection Monday 20th September

Ballinrobe-3.05- headleys bridge

A solid maiden hurdle performer last season. Has the strongest form on offer with his second to Jerrys Agent at Cork in March. The bumper horse Westmeath looks a big danger but Headleys Bridge must go close with slid hurdling experence under his belt and having had the summer to progress and improve, he looks the one to be on today. Quality claimer B J Cooper gets 5lbs off his back and he also gets 9lbs from Westmeath as a 4 yo alowance.

Advice:

Headleys Bridge- 2pts e/w @ 4/1 Victor Chandler

cheers

Irish Racing Selections Wednesday 15th September

Listowel-4.05- hellberemembered,imperial shabra

A very hot little Novice hurdle which means there is value to be had opposing the top of the market. Hellberemembered has solid hurdle form in the book from last season. Most notably when 2nd to The Outlaw Kid, clocking a TS of 123 at Thurles. Won a slowly ran affair at Galway last time out and the strong pace today will be even more to his liking. Has ran well at the course before and merits close attention for an each way bet at 16/1. Imperial Shabra is trained by the flamboyant Patrick O’Brady and is also worth an each way investment. Won a nice Novice hurdle at Downpatrick last time out, beating the smart Hail Caesar comfortably and clocking a TS of 118. It remains to be seen how he’ll handle give in the ground but he stays well. There wouldnt be an awful lot between Imperial Shabra and One cool Tornado, but the latter is 6/1 and any improvement from my selection will see him bridge the gap on their run at Galway.

Listowel-5.05- Far Away So Close

A talented gelding from the Paul Nolan stable. Still a maiden but clearly has ability and was condsidered good enough to take his chance in the Supreme Novice hurdle at Cheltenham last year where he finished a creditable 9th of 18 runners, clocking a TS of 128 in the process. Has solid form at Grade 2 level at Navan, he was very keen that day and had to settle for a close 5th on heavy ground- but it was a promising run. Hasnt been seen since May, where he ran rather poorly but was probably over the top for the season. No reason why he cant have improved over the summer and he’ll certainly be ready to go today. For me, if he settles early he wins.

Advice:

Hellberemembered- 1pt e/w @ 16/1

Imperial Shabra- 0.5pt e/w @ 16/1

Far Away So Close- 3 pts to win @ 11/4

Irish Racing Selection Tuesday 14th September

Listowel-5.25- Dilshaans Prize

Made a promising start over hurdles when 2nd to the smart Ballyadam Brook. Clocked a TS of 109 there which is ahead the others here and he should improve.  Hard to see this one being beaten on paper but Listowel can throw up some funny results so ill refrain from an each way smash and side with a nice win bet.

Advice:

Dilshaans Prize 3pts to win @ 3/1 bet365

Irish Racing Selections- Sunday 12th September

Good Morning all,

I hope you all took my advice on Natalisa and Sans Frontieres at 4/1 and 11/2. Natalisa was bound to go well if reproducing her debut run. She lead from start to finish- every post was a winning one!! Sans Frontieres was very impressive yesterday, being well backed into 13/8 favourite, he’ll now head down under for a tilt at the Melbourne Cup.

Onto today theres 3 bets to consider.

Curragh-3.15- Jumbajukiba

Jessica Harringtons talented 7yo is attempting to win the Solonaway Stakes (Group 3) for the 3rd time, having won in 2007 and 2008. He has a fantastic record at the Curragh with a record reading 5-4-13 and his record at a mile reads 4-4-15. He has been known to run very well fresh and will relish the soft ground today. Its a hot race with Steinbeck, Arazan and Zafisio in the mix, but Jumbajukiba has conditions in his favour and at 10/1 he rates a solid each way choice.

Listowel-2.30- Fennis Boy

Easily has the best maiden hurdle form on offer from last season. He broke my heart then, hitting the crossbar several times but hes a talented gelding who has to win a maiden soon with a summers improvement under his belt. Davy Russell rides maiden hurdlers very well and you’ll notice I like to pay attention to his rides in these races. I can see Fennis Boy racing prominantly and going very close here.

Listowel-3.35- Magnetic Force

I watched his race at Killarney several times last night and im convinced the blinkers applied today will him concentrate a bit better for his 3rd run over hurdles. He jumps well and travelled well at Killarney 2 weeks back , being shuffled out against the rail when they turned for home. He then started to look around and lose interest and kept on at the one pace. Hes a tricky looking ride but clearly has ability and ill take him at a price to run a big race under Andrew MacNamara, who I believe is the best all round jockey riding in Ireland today. Again its a hot little race with some decent flat types making their debuts. Its the kind of race I watch with a view to finding winners for the season ahead, but Magnetic Force could just upset the newbie apple cart with some experience under his belt.

Advice:

Jumbajukiba 1pt e/w @ 10/1 bet 365

Fennis Boy 2pts e/w 5/1 bet 365

Magnetic Force 1pt e/w 14/1 bet 365

have a great Sunday

Irish Racing- Free Selection Friday 10th September

Good morning guys. A decent flat meeting at Down Royal today and I like the look of a horse called NataLisa in the opening maiden over 5f. This John Oxx trained daughter of Green Desert made a pleasing debut back in July at Fairyhouse over 6f on good to soft ground, finishing 2nd and clocking a TS figure of 74. This puts her ahead of the rest on bare form. However on her latest run at Naas she was very upset in the stalls and blew her chance before the white flag was raised and never travelled in the race. Has had a break since late July now and this looks a good opportunity to get off the mark under Fran Berry, who coincidently has a 25% strike rate for John Oxx around Down Royal. The one concern is the drop back in trip to 5f because the filly was staying on over 6f when she came 2nd and she broke well to lead. But her breeding suggests she should have the natural, latent ability to act over the minimum trip. The two horses at the head of the market have more experience under their saddle but Natalisa could just be a bit more progressive at this stage in the season.

Advice:

Down Royal-4.10- Natalisa 1pt e/w @ 4/1 Bet 365

P.S Be sure to tune in over the weekend for more Irish Racing selections, theres some good racing on.

Cheers
