Well a nice 4 pt profit today with 6 out of the 7 Lays being successful and Where’s Reily was a non-lay due to the market in the last 15 mins. The price shortened and then drifted slightly to 6.4 but it was enough of a warning not to take a risk on Laying him, as I said this morning, especially with such a good number of Lay selections to go at. No reason to risk anything which was not drifting considerably, as all the other 6 selections did pre-race.

Again a good run from our Back bet in 2:35 at Ffos Las – Taffy Thomas – and he was obviously fancied by a few other people aswell, his price dropped from 11.0 on Betfair down to 6.4 over the last 15 mins. I actually backed him at 8/1 with Bet365 this afternoon. He ran well up until the 3rd fence out and then seemed to fade badly – maybe the step up to 2m 4f from 2m took its toll – anyway he was no disgrace.

Hope you are all enjoying the selections – I know we have not had the big winners we had last week but we are still in profit for the week and that is what matters – protect and build your bank slowly and the big winners and big weeks will come to give you that real boost – like last weeks 248 point profit – we made a months profit in one week – the important thing is to keep our heads and consolidate on that good work – even when we have a few losing bets – the winners will come – I can promise you that.
