15.02.10 – Results

Well a -9 pt loss on the day today – just another of those days that you get in racing.

Back Bets:

3:10 Wolverhampton – Monaco Dream ran well up until the final few furlongs and was just outpaced at the finish, coming home in 4th. (-4pts)

4:50 Catterick – Bitter Blue – 1 pt e/w – was well back up to the start of the race and it shortened considerably – led for as while but was just one paced – again finishing in 4th (- 2pts)

Lay Bets:

2:10 Wolverhampton – Straboe – drifted out all day from 7.8 to 9.4 as the money came for Shakespeares Son – so was a definate Lay – was held up and then swept through to win – nice ride overcoming the draw too. Losing Lay Selection  (- 5 pts).

N.B This Showed the importance of limited liability staking on lay bets , especially with the All Weather which can throw up some surprise results. I will be putting up a training video on staking over the next few days.

5:00 Plumpton – Johan Sabestian – I was spot on about the Mccoy factor making this horse far too short for it’s ability at 3.25 this morning on Betfair – drifted out to 4.1 before rallying to around 3.7 – a good solid lay that got us +2pts
